Cryprien Gaillard TATE Interview below. There is an interesting article on this artist in the latest 032c magazine - a selection of the artist's source material, artifacts, and miscellany accumulated over the past year in his Berlin studio. Iconoclastic French artist, Gaillard is inspired by vandalism and the concept of failure in society. He is drawn to destruction, minimal aesthetics, romanticism and Land Art. He based his 2009 video art installation on the concept of anachronism as the answer to nostalgia, also using post-entropic themes and Vladimir Nabokov's quote "The future is but the obsolete in reverse" as a central theme.
