1961

These pictures of my late father were recently sent to mum by the blonde pictured below. Sadly for her, my father went for a brunette in the end.

Christopher Kane

Grandiflora

I ordered some flowers from Grandiflora for Shay at Prada (to thank him for being a stand out PR) and look what I found - such a great little campaign.
I've always been a massive flower person, so when I see this and the leather and lace dress by Christopher Kane (pictured above) I'm excited.

I should have posted this a few weeks back. I love this little promo I worked on with Yvette at MTV. How cute are the talent?

The Red Shoes

I watched the Red Shoes By Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger staring Moira Shearer. Also watched the behind the scenes and makings which was really interesting - apparently it is one of the BFI's top 10 British Films. The acting, art direction, cinematography by Jack Cardiff, costumes, hair and makeup and overall direction/production - awesome. The plot is a little inconsistent but there are just so many inspiring things about this film so I was kind of caught up in the visual anyway. Moira Shearer and Anton Walkbrook's wardrobe... INCREDIBLE!!

Aria Awards

I played dress up with Ruby for the Aria's. She's wearing Miu Miu dress from fall '10.
Thank you Shay Thomas from Prada Australia for going out of your way to help me for this event. You are the best - so much love!!!

Robyn Beeche

I have been working with Judith Cook an Australian stylist who is inspirational herself, but she reminded me of Australian photographer Robyn Beeche. Beeche worked extensively with Zandra Rhodes, Vivienne Westwood, Andrew Logan and Mary Quant in London in the 70/80's. She pioneered a technique of photography that used elaborate makeup, body paint , props and costume that focused on surrealism and the androgyny. She currently lives between Australia and India and will be exhibiting her work in Sydney at the end of the month. Once I confirm details of her exhibition I'll post the flyer to follow.

Alexandra Farmer

Alexandra Farmer is a very talented textile designer, illustrator and weaver and she's also one of my closest girlfriends, so I'm not being biased - she's the shit! Her latest collection of textile prints and embroidery (pictured below), were designed for Jasmine De Milo. You can view more of her work with Liberty here http://www.alexandrafarmer.com/
