Peace, Love, Light...

My mother gave me Jenny Kee's autobiography to read for my birthday and I've not been able to put it down. In fact, I'm hooked on it.  Kee was a beautiful eccentric that defined Australian fashion in the 1980's. Her knitwear was featured in major publications worldwide, and was hugely supported by Italian Vogue's Anna Piaggi. She was making trends when other Australian designers were borrowing them, and she used Oz as her backdrop to do so.

Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer '08

During New York fashion week I assisted up-and-coming stylist, Marie Chaix on the Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer show.

Camouflage Magazine On Sale!

Tank Design's new magazine, Camouflage is on-sale now.  I was so excited to work on this project with my friend, Mary Talato.  Mary's such an inspiration to me, so I was happy to put together some of my own work under her art direction.

Below attached is a taster of the mag... Jonas Bresnan and I were lucky enough to work on a 12-page fashion story with 'girl of the moment' Alice Dellal, I also interviewed her sister, shoe designer Charlotte Dellal and shot a still-life story with New York based street style photographer, Peter Miszuk (shot in his lovely apartment in China Town, NYC).  You can see more at www.camouflagemag.com

CHET BAKER

A homage to Chet Baker.
Even though he was a tortured junky who jumped out of a hotel window in Amsterdam, 1988  - I'm a huge fan of his music.  He also had an amazing sense of style in the beginning of his career.

THE OCTOBER GALLERY, WC1

Last Thursday I went to a group opening at the October Gallery in Bloomsbury and I fell in love with this girl's dress! There was also a performance by one of the artists during the night that really made the exhibition a memorable one.

Ponytail launch

I went to the launch of Ponytail magazine last night with photographer Jen Hueston.  I ran into an old friend, photographer Daniel O'Connell who had a great beauty story in there - go Daniel!  Here's the launch cover, I thought the image was really cute.

ANIMAL ART

My sister dyed her daughter's pony pink a little while back for her 4th b'day party. There were other random kids in the playground cueing up with dollars in their hands wanting to go for a ride on the thing. I've always had an obsession with photographing horses - b/w, in the raw but now I'm loving the art project aspect of it! Check out Jessica and "tonto". I also love these pictures my friend Eric sent me the other day. Actually, looking at those balloons up there I think I need to take myself off the Animal Rescue group on facebook!

Alcona, Italy

On return from Oz I headed over to Alcona, Italy with stylist Sarah Cobb.  We were shooting Mixte with photographer Jam.  It was a very exciting trip to say the least.  We packed in a whole lot of fun on top of shooting a great swimwear story.  Here's a few snaps of what we got up to.  I'll always remember this trip for Lyndell and Michelle's "wow" dance on the boat whilst shooting, as well as rocking it at the local Irish pub to 80's tunes.

Tavlin & Axel's Wedding. Blue Mountains, Australia.

What better way to kick off summer but with a holiday! In April I ventured home to Australia for my best friend's wedding.  Axel & Tavlin tied the knot in the Blue Mountains and it was the best wedding ever!  Word has it fashion people were even crashing it they were so eager to be a part of this mountain wedding extravaganza. Great to catch up with everyone.  I don't have pictures of Axel's outfit progression but I love this dancing shot of them after the ceremony (aren't they gorgeous?).
