Katja Rahlwes has a way with Accessories

Katja Rahlwes is a German photographer who started her career as a stylist. I worked with her once and she had two studio spaces on the go. She'd take a shoe from a model and run over to the still-life space so she could snap it again hanging over a plastic toy. You can view her work here

Girl # 1

I'm going to take a portrait of the people in Sydney that inspire me each week. My belle du jour is Eleanor Ackland. Ellie worked in an art gallery in London when we first met but since moving back to Sydney she has started with Dinosaur Designs. She's so beautiful, inside and out. I love her boho princess bedroom and her cat, Crinkle! Ellie is wearing a vintage dress that was owned by her grandmother, Jean Black who modeled for Balenciaga in the 1940's.

Sister's Pledge Peace on the Harbour Bridge, Sydney

To honour the resilience of millions of women survivors of war around the world, Women for Women International hosted a global campaign called Join me on the Bridge on International Women's Day: March 8, 2010.

In New York women will walk Brooklyn Bridge and in London the Millennium Bridge. Here in Sydney we were lucky to have the likes of Carla Zampatti, Joanne Currie, Claudia Navone, Collette Dinnigan click here for press and Jackie Frank climbing the bridge. Here are some snaps of us walking the Harbour Bridge for peace this morning!
